Hotel Marinos is located in the resort of Kalamaki and is only 800 meters from Kalamaki’s fine sandy beach where is also home to the rare sea turtle Caretta Caretta also know as the Loggerhead turtle and during the nesting season the visitors can generally see them by hiring a Pedaloe or from the beach.

The restaurants and bars of Kalamaki are all in a  short walking distance from the hotel but far enough to ensure the hotel is quiet during the night thus guaranteeing our guests a peaceful nights sleep. It is also very close to the resorts of Argassi, Laganas and Zante town.

At the front of the hotel is a swimming pool where the guests can relax in a tranquil surrounding. The bar is open all day for those wishing to have a drink or snack nearby the pool. Guests can make use of either the outside terrace seating area, a terrace overlooking the pool or the comfortable lounge/dining room with air conditioning and TV. The reception area is open and available 24hrs a day. We also occasionally depending on demand organise BBQ nights at the hotel which are a lot of fun.

Rooms

The hotel consists of 22 spacious clean rooms which all offer their own bathrooms, air-conditioning, telephone, TV set, refrigerator, and a veranda overlooking the pool, sea or surrounding area views. To make your stay even more comfortable, we additionally provide room service. The maid service is daily and linen/towels are changed every two days. The hotel rooms are Twin or Triples but should you require an additional bed in the room for a child if you wish, this can be accommodated for a small additional fee as listed under "Rates".

Hotel Marinos has one two bedroom apartment available with a small kitchen area for cooking, that can accommodate 2-4 persons. The kitchen area is fully equipped and consists of a hob, fridge and sink. If you require this room please specify when booking and look under "Rates" for the price.

Location

Kalamaki village is a quiet and sophisticated resort in the south east part of the island, less than 5 km from the capital town. It is also near (3 km) to the most popular resort on the island, Lagana, combining the best of both worlds,a chance to enjoy the crazy nightlife of Laganas or to spend a more relaxing holiday in quieter locations. Kalamaki has maintained its Greek feel, with the relaxed and slow place of life still apparent despite its recent and increasing popularity with tourists.

Kalamaki beach  is part of Laganas bay and although not as big as Laganas beach it is still a nice sandy beach with clear water.Parts of this beach are restricted for the turtles to use as a breading ground. The nightlife in this resort is not so big as Laganas but there are several bars and traditional restaurants where you can taste the Zajynthian cuisine and not only, drinking and a bit of dancing if the mood takes you. This is a lovely resort ideal for families.
